Bobby Brink was a second round selection in 2019. He played for Team USA in the 2020 and 2021 World Junior Championships. Brink won a gold medal with current teammate Cam York in 2021.

I’m honored to join a classy, historic, organization. Flyers fans are so passionate, how can a person not be excited. It was a day I will remember for the rest of my life. My friends and family were very happy.” – Bobby Brink told Jamey Baskow in February of 2022

He made his NHL Debut with the Flyers on April 12, 2022 against the Washington Capitals. Unfortunately, he suffered a significant injury that kept him out of half the season in 2022-23. Brink started off on a hot streak, but things started to settle down after the seventh or eighth game. He had a problem with consistency last season, and that was to be expected given the nature of his serious injury that he was coming back from. When healthy, Brink is a dynamic forward that can put the puck in the net, or set up a nice play for the eventual goal. He arguably has top 6 talent at the NHL level, Brink just needs to be consistent.

Consistency, consistency. Brink is having a great season thus far for the orange and black, even so much so, he is being utilized in key situations. He is creating offense, mainly using his creativity, and making plays he shouldn’t. He finally netted his first goal, and he enjoyed it so much that he said why don’t I bought another. Brink tallied two goals last night in a dominant 6-2 victory over the Wild. He was one of five players that had multiple points last night for the orange and black, Travis Konecny, Travis Sanheim, Cam Atkinson, and Sean Couturier were the others.

Brink is continuing to make strong plays offensively, so I do not think.hr gets back to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms anytime soon. He is too creative offensively, but wise defensively, as well. He is not a defensive liability.

John Tortorella sometimes gets criticized for being too hard of a coach, but last night he patted Brink on the head after he notched his first NHL goal, “As much as I know and we know how good he’s played. I’m happy for him, he’s put a lot of work in.”

Brink continues to make some slick behind the back passes, and really continues to impress. I think he’s a keeper. It has become harder and harder for me to envision the Flyers sending Brink down when everyone is healthy.

It’s like Tortorella says, “He’s one of the better players at creating” so he continues to give him extra ice time. What the future holds for Brink is anyone’s guess, but it’s becoming increasingly clear that he will not be sent back to the Phantoms anytime soon.

Just curious but who is injured that would take Brinks place once they return?
Aside from frost rotting away in the doghouse
