The 2025 NHL Draft kicks off this Friday, June 27, with Round 1 beginning at 7 p.m. ET at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. It’ll be broadcasted live on ESPN, ESPN+, Sportsnet, and TVA Sports. Rounds 2-7 follow on Saturday, June 28, starting at noon ET on NHL Network, ESPN+, Sportsnet, and SN1.

Your Philadelphia Flyers have six picks to make within the first two rounds, so who will they take? Here is a Flyers Mock Draft for all picks.

6) James Hagens, C, Boston College

Hagens, an 18-year-old center from Hauppauge, New York, is a top prospect for the 2025 NHL Draft, set for this Friday, June 27, in Los Angeles. Playing for Boston College, he recorded 37 points (11 goals, 26 assists) in 37 NCAA games as a freshman, a solid performance against older competition.

He is known for elite skating, playmaking, and hockey IQ, drawing comparisons to players like Jack Hughes and Patrick Kane. However, his smaller frame (5’11, 177 pounds) and struggles with physicality against bigger defenders have raised questions about his NHL projection as a top-line center.

However, with all the pro’s and con’s surrounding Hagens. He’s just too good to pass up at this point of the draft.

22) Cullen Potter, LW, Arizona State University

There is no secret the Flyers are not just in need of depth down the middle, they are also starving for a natural Left Winger to play with Matvei Michkov. Now will Potter turn out to be that player? Only time will tell, but Potter would be one heck of a selection with the 22 pick.

Potter, an 18-year-old Center/Left Wing from Hortonville, Wisconsin, is a freshman at Arizona State University (NCAA) and a top prospect for the 2025 NHL Draft. Born January 10, 2007, he stands at 5’10” and weighs around 170-172 lbs. Potter is widely regarded as one of the best skaters in this draft class, with elite speed, edgework, and agility that allow him to excel in transition and create offensive chances. His dynamic playstyle, high compete level, and offensive instincts make him a standout, though his smaller frame and decision-making are areas of concern.

In the 2024-25 NCAA season with Arizona State, Potter recorded 13 goals and 8 assists for 21 points in 32 games, ranking sixth on the team in scoring despite being one of the youngest players in college hockey. He averages nearly 19 minutes per game, plays on the power play, and drives a line, showcasing his ability to handle significant responsibilities against older competition.

31) Joshua Ravensbergen, G, Prince George

At 6’5, Ravensbergen has an imposing frame that covers a significant portion of the net. His elite athleticism and quickness allow him to make highlight-reel saves, particularly with his length and ability to move post-to-post.

Puck-Tracking and Positioning: He demonstrates excellent play-reading skills, staying square to shooters and adjusting his positioning to challenge shots effectively, especially through traffic. His ability to anticipate net-front threats is top-notch for his age.

Skating and Footwork: Ravensbergen moves smoothly for his size, with great lateral mobility and accuracy in the crease, which helps him recover quickly from out-of-position plays.

Competitive Drive: He plays with high intensity and never gives up on a play, often making spectacular saves due to his relentless effort.

Performance Record: As a WHL rookie, he posted an impressive 21-4-0 record with a .920 save percentage and six shutouts in 31 games, overtaking the starting role from Vancouver Canucks prospect Ty Young. In the 2024-25 season, he had a 33-13-4 record, 3.00 GAA, and .900 save percentage in 51 games played.

36) Cameron Schmidt, RW, Vancouver

Cameron Schmidt is an 18-year-old Right Winger playing for the Vancouver Giants in the Western Hockey League (WHL). He was born January 19, 2007, in Prince George, British Columbia, and he stands at 5’7, while weighing 161 pounds. In the 2024-25 season, he scored 40 goals and added 38 assists for 78 points in 61 games, tying for seventh in WHL goals and leading the Giants. In the playoffs, he had 4 goals and 5 assists in 5 games.

Schmidt is a dynamic, offensive prospect for the 2025 NHL Draft, ranked #43 by NHL Central Scouting (North American skaters), with other rankings ranging from #7 (Inside The Rink) to #58 (FloHockey). His speed, quick release, and deceptive shot make him a scoring threat, often compared to Cole Caufield for his undersized, but skilled playstyle. He excels in transition, using his skating to create chances, and has shown playmaking ability with 23 assists since mid-December 2024.

40) Eric Nilson, C, Djurgårdens IF

Nilson, an 18-year-old right-shot Center/Winger, was born May 11, 2007, in Calgary, Alberta, but developed in Sweden with Djurgårdens IF. At 6’0” and 154-165 lbs, he’s a lean, intelligent two-way forward known for his high hockey IQ, strong skating, and compete level. In the 2024-25 season with Djurgårdens IF J20 (J20 Nationell), he recorded 38 points (12 goals, 26 assists) in 37 games and added 13 points (Six goals, Seven assists) in nine playoff games. He also played four games in HockeyAllsvenskan, earning one assist, and represented Sweden at the U18 World Championships, tallying five points (Two goals, Three assists) in seven games, including a standout four-point performance (hat trick, one assist) in a bronze-medal game against the USA at the Hlinka Gretzky Cup.

One of Nilson’s biggest strengths include his fluid skating, quick decision-making, and ability to play in all situations, including power play and penalty kill. Scouts praise his defensive reliability and ability to create controlled zone entries, though his lighter frame and lack of elite puck-handling or separation speed limit his offensive ceiling. Comparisons range from Mikael Backlund (ceiling) to his father, Marcus Nilson (floor), a former NHLer who played 521 games for Calgary and Florida. Eric is committed to Michigan State University for the 2025-26 NCAA season, which could help him add strength to his frame.

48) William Moore, C, USDP

Moore, an 18-year-old Center, born March 24, 2007, in Mississauga, Ontario, is a top prospect for the 2025 NHL Draft. Standing at 6’2 and 174 pounds, he plays for the USA Hockey National Team Development Program (USNTDP) U18 team. In the 2024-25 season, he led the USNTDP with 59 points (27 goals, 32 assists) in 64 games and added 21 points (10 goals, 11 assists) in 34 USHL games with the USNTDP Juniors. At the 2025 U18 World Championships, he recorded 11 points (Three goals, Eight assists) in seven games, showcasing his playmaking ability.

He is a two-way center with a good hockey IQ, vision, and puck-handling skills, excelling as a facilitator with give-and-go plays and precise passing. Moore’s skating is above-average, with strong crossover rushes, but he lacks elite speed and can drift to the perimeter, needing to attack the middle more consistently. Defensively, he’s reliable, often used on the penalty kill, and excels at stripping pucks in transition. However, his slight frame and inconsistent engagement are concerns, as he sometimes waits for plays rather than driving them.

68) Sean Barnhill, RHD, Dubuque

Sean Barnhill is an 18-year-old Right-Handed Defenseman born January 8, 2007, in Scottsdale, Arizona. Standing at 6’5 and weighing 205 pounds, he plays for the Dubuque Fighting Saints in the USHL. In the 2024-25 season, he recorded four goals and eight assists for 12 points in 54 games with a +9 rating, and added one assist in seven playoff games. His game focuses on defense, leveraging his size, reach, and skating to disrupt plays, though he’s not a significant offensive contributor.

Barnhill is a mobile, shutdown defenseman with a low panic threshold, averaging 3.1 giveaways per game and completing 84% of his passes. His skating is a standout trait, with solid multi-directional agility and evasiveness, ranking high at the 2025 NHL Combine (2nd in horizontal jump at 118″, 3rd in agility tests). He’s effective in transition, using his stride to carry pucks through the neutral zone, but his offensive tools are limited—1.52 shot attempts per game and 0.12 pre-shot passes show minimal creativity. Physically, he’s less assertive than expected for his frame (0.71 hits per game), and he wasn’t a top-pairing anchor, averaging 14:11 TOI and 1:24 on the Penalty Kill.

132) Ethan Wyttenbach, LW, Sioux Falls, USHL

Ethan Wyttenbach is an 18-year-old Forward born February 10, 2007, in Roslyn, New York. Standing at 5’10 and weighing 170 pounds, he plays for the Sioux Falls Stampede in the USHL. In the 2024-25 season, he recorded 24 goals and 27 assists for 51 points in 44 games, leading the Stampede in points per game (1.16) despite missing time due to a lower-body injury. Wyttenbach also led the team with six game-winning goals and six Power Play goals.

Wyttenbach is a skilled, elusive winger with elite puck skills, quickness, and creative playmaking, often delaying passes to maximize effectiveness. His hockey sense and ability to drive the net stand out, drawing comparisons to Artemi Panarin for his slippery style and middle-ice cuts.

157) Felix Farhammar, LHD, Örebro HK J20

Felix Färhammar is an 18-year-old Left-Handed Defenseman born April 11, 2007, in Stockholm, Sweden. Standing at 6’1 and weighing 185 lbs, he plays for Örebro HK in the Swedish Hockey League (SHL) and it’s J20 Nationell team. In the 2024-25 season, he recorded one goal and seven assists for eight points in 36 J20 games, with two assists in four playoff games. In the SHL, he debuted on December 5, 2024, against Luleå, playing as the seventh defenseman but has not recorded points in limited appearances (0 points in two games as of May 25, 2025).

Färhammar is a mobile, two-way defenseman known for speed and physicality. His skating drives his game, allowing effective gap closure and transition play, but his offensive output is modest (0.22 points per game in J20). He’s reliable defensively, with a +4 rating in J20, but needs to refine puck decisions and consistency to handle SHL pace.

164) Chase Jette, C, Waterloo Blackhawks, USHL

Chase Jette is an 18-year-old Center born April 9, 2007, in Lake Forest, Illinois. Standing at 5’10 and weighing 170 pounds, he plays for the Waterloo Blackhawks in the USHL. In the 2024-25 season, he recorded 15 goals and nine assists for 24 points in 58 regular-season games, adding six goals and seven assists in 12 playoff games, tying him for fourth in the USHL for playoff scoring.

Jette is a well-rounded, two-way Center with a strong hockey sense and versatility. He’s reliable defensively, often used in key situations (1:45 average Penalty Kill time), and contributes offensively with a quick release and playmaking (85% pass completion rate). Jette’s skating is above average, though not elite, and he excels in faceoffs (54% win rate).
