Austin Elliott, a 20-year-old Goaltender from the London Knights, has shown promise in the OHL, posting a 1.74 GAA and .936 Save Percentage during the 2024-25 Memorial Cup. His performance, including a 27-save shutout and a .924 save percentage in the regular season, highlights his potential as a reliable netminder.

With the Flyers facing uncertainty around Goaltender Aleksei Kolosov’s return for the 2025-26 season, signing Elliott could bolster their goaltending depth, especially given their ties to the Knights’ program. However, Elliott is committed to UMass Lowell for the 2025-26 NCAA season, which may delay his professional debut unless the Flyers or their AHL affiliate, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, sign him to a contract that accommodates his college plans. His undrafted status and free-agent eligibility make him an attractive, low-risk target for the Flyers’ prospect pipeline.
Elliott was lights-out for the Knights in 2024-25. His record of 32-1 during the regular season was impeccable, coupled with a 2.10 GAA and .936 Save Percentage, plus a .924 Save Percentage in the regular season, show he’s got serious game.

His 27-save shutout came during the London Knights’ 4-0 win over the Drummondville Voltigeurs in the 2024-25 OHL season. His ability to lock down the net under pressure, with a .936 Save Percentage in the Memorial Cup shows why he’s on the radar as an undrafted free agent, even as he’s set to join UMass Lowell for the 2025-26 NCAA season.
With the Flyers struggles In net last season, this proves that a team cannot have too many goaltenders within the system. At one point the Phantoms were injury riddled in net last season, coupled with the uncertainty surrounding Kolosov. Who knows if the Flyers will loan Kolosov to the KHL next season. In the event that does happen, signing Elliott would ensure stability and depth in net.

We have two very young and talented goalie prospects, why another? We need a good veteran goalie to buy a few years for the prospects. We don’t need another prospect for a future that never gets here… it’s always a question of balance. Look who’s in the finals.
