After much deliberation due to the Olympic break, the NHL finalized schedule for a revised 82-game NHL season is here. Here is everything you need to know about the Flyers’ schedule for the upcoming season.

The Flyers will open the season with a home game against the Vancouver Canucks, and guess what folks the spectacle is part of a four-game homestand to open this season.

There will be a total of 15 back to backs throughout the course of the season. This is typical, and it becomes reality that a normal season of hockey will ensue. There currently is a break for the Olympic games beginning on February 7 and concluding on February 22. The season will resume on February 23rd, 2022.

This young orange and black club will cap off the season against the Ottawa Senators on April 29, 2022. Hopefully the Flyers will be locked into playoff contention by then, as the season extends through the month of April due to the Olympic break.

The Flyers will get their first taste of the Boston Bruins during their four game homestand to open the season on October 20. Boston is revisiting a rivalry entrenched in history. Hopefully the Flyers will sustain success against this club that might be without Tuukka Rask, as he is an unrestricted free agent, although he has previously stated that he only wants to play in Boston.

The Flyers will play the Seattle Kraken for the first time on October 18 at home in front of their proud faithful, and the Flyers will still have their tradition of playing away during the holidays (End of December). They will play the Kraken in Seattle on December 29.

Stay tuned for a more in-depth breakdown of the games and what the future could well hold for the team now that the schedule is locked in.
