Aleksei Kolosov stepped up big in relief for the Flyers last night during their 5-2 loss to the Maple Leafs. He came in at 0:33 of the third period after Dan Vladar was pulled following Easton Cowan’s goal that made it 4-1, and Kolosov stopped all secen shots he faced to finish the game strong.
That gave him a perfect 1.000 save percentage in his first NHL action of the season—pretty solid debut considering he was just recalled from the AHL’s Lehigh Valley Phantoms on Thursday amid Sam Ersson’s injury.

It’s a confidence booster for the young goalie who’s been lights-out lately in the minors (3-2-0, 2.60 GAA, .918 SV% in five starts).

With Ersson out at least another week, Kolosov could see more ice time soon—maybe even a start against Calgary this weekend. What’d you think of his quick glove work on that one rush?
