Alexei Kolosov is helping the playoff push for the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. He won his second straight game last night 3-1 against their rivals in the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins, as he made 27 saves on 28 shots faced. Kolosov really has elevated his game, since returning back to Lehigh.

Kolosov appears to be finding his groove at the right time, as he posted a .964 Save Percentage last night. In his last two starts he has garnered a combined .938 Save Percentage, and has posted a 2-0 record.
Don’t shut the door on him just yet. It’s to my understanding before he went to back to Lehigh for this last stint, that he indeed loves Lehigh. It will only get better for him, when a Russian in Nikita Grebenkin joins the Phantoms after he gets his Visa situation rectified. The Flyers are going to get that situated by the end of the week.

A you g netminder in Kolosov, like most goalies, needs time to develop. He appears to be confident moving laterally from post to post well, and appears to make the hard saves look routine. This is great news for a Phantoms team that needed a jolt.
