Glove save Aaron Taylor, and another spectacular glove save by Taylor. Much like Carter Hart, Taylor has a really good glove hand. He’s like a a magician, as he waves his glove hand in the air to capture the puck in his mitt.
Taylor hails from Gormley, ON, CAN, and hockey was in blood practically from birth. He used to play open hockey with Flyers young prospect Morgan Frost nonetheless, to which Frost would really impress Taylor. However, Taylor took next step in his hockey career, and is now the young prized possession of the Delaware Thunder.
The young 23-year-old in Taylor has made two forty save performances within the past two weeks. The first was a 40 save victory over the Danville Dashers as Taylor told me during warm-ups, “I’m getting the W tonight. We are going to win this game.” Well, Taylor put his money where his mouth was with that one.
“We have a great group of guys here,” Taylor said following the victory to the Dashers, “I just did my best, and would do whatever it takes to win the game. I felt good today, I just had the feeling we would play with full effort.”
Talyor’s second forty save performance in two weeks came this past Saturday, as the Thunder beat the River Dra 5-3. Taylor was phenomenal, as he saved 44 blasts, which was good enough for a .937 Save Percentage for the game. He really made some really good glove saves, as Taylor has been on a roll these past two weeks.
It appears Taylor is starting to gain some confidence between the pipes for the Thunder,”Confidence is huge, I feel like we’re heating up at the right time.” Taylor is a class act, and a confident netminder like him really does bode well for the rest of the Thunder’s first season.
Yea…. Yea…. Yea.
