Finally, finally…”Finally, finally, yeah yeah, ow / Finally it has happened to me right in front of my face / And I just cannot hide it /,” lyrics from the song sung by CeCe Peniston. The Delaware Thunder finally won their first game of the season last night and they are now 1-0 in 2022, after they defeated Binghamton 7-3 on the back of Ryan Marker.

Ryan “Magic” Marker placed the Thunder on his back, and guided them to victory. He netted four huge goals and tallied two assists, en route to a six point night. What more can Marker do, as he plays in all situations the coaching staff asks of him.

The Thunder rides and dies with Marker. Marker does the little things well, and it’s very noticeable. He plays a 200ft game, but he’s a bonafide goal scorer in the same process.

This 27-year-old in Marker has only played in nine games due to an injury that kept him out nearly two months, and he’s still 14th in the Federal Prospects Hockey League (FPHL) in scoring with 26 points. Moreover, Marker is also tied for sixth in the league in goals with 16. These are some unreal stats for missing all this time.

As Marker goes, the Thunder goes. These two are a match made in heaven, as he proudly supports all of his teammates and the coaching staff. This huge Flyers fan in Marker is primed and ready to wreak havoc on his opponents for the rest of the season, and nothing will get in his way of making this statement come true.

  1. Great game. Whole team actually came together and played as a team – not as individuals. Proud to say it was at home and fans needed this win, proud to say Marker was exceptional and proud to say Babin excelled in the net. New year, new team, new reasons to follow this team.
