The Flyers have signed left wing Oscar Eklind to a one-year, entry-level contract beginning with the 2024-25 season, per Flyers’ General Manager Danny Briere said today. It’s a contract worth $950,000.
He’s 6’4 and tough as nails to move off the puck. Not a bad skater, and he registered 17 goals and 11 assists in 48 games played this past season.
Eklind was one of the top free agents out of Europe, and he’s a Left Winger. He could very well see time on the third line next season, yes he’s that good.
This move proves yet again that Briere and company mean business, and this is yet again another step in the right direction for the rebuild.
