Flyers’ Goaltender Dan Vladar is expected to start today against his former team, the Calgary Flames. The game is Sunday, November 8, 2026, at 7:00 PM ET (5:00 PM MT) at Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary.
Vladar spent four seasons with the Flames (2021–25) before signing with the Flyers as a free agent in July 2025. He’s projected as the starter (around 76% probability in recent reports), with Joseph Woll as the backup option.
Calgary is expected to go with Dustin Wolf. Vladar’s early 2026-27 numbers with the Flyers (through early November): 3-4-2 record, 3.21 GAA, .883 save percentage in nine games played. He had a stronger previous season with the Flyers and previously posted solid marks as Calgary’s backup/1A.
The Flyers look to get back on track, “He can stop the puck. He’s a great goalie. His character, he’s unteal. He’s a crest guy, thinks about the team first and not himself,” He can stop the puck. He’s a great goalie. His character, he’s unteal. He’s a crest guy, thinks about the team first and not himself,” Tocchet said of Dan Vladar yesterday after practice.”
This should be a fun matchup, so let’s see what transpires on Sunday.
