Will the bad news stop pouring in for the Flyers, and their prospects? Justin Braun and Shayne Gostisbehere are the two latest Flyers to succumb to some type of injury. Flyers prospects Cam York, Wade Allison, and Ronnie Attard all have been hurt this season at some point, and have come back from injury. Now one of the Flyers top defensive prospects in Yegor Zamula will miss 3-4 months.

Zamula has to undergo back surgery, per the Calgary Hitmen, as Zamula says in the article, “The recovery time will be 3-4 months. My season is over.” It all makes sense now, as to why Zamula was in attendance at the Flyers game on Wednesday night. He may have consulted team doctors.

The young 19-year-old defenceman in Zamula has a great hockey IQ. He is fast, plays with an edge to his game, is an offensive minded defenseman. Overall, Zamula is a stud, that just needs to work on building muscle. He is a little undersized in terms of muscle, to compete with the rigors of a full 82-game NHL season.

The Calgary Hitmen product in Zamula has registered 7 goals, and 21 assists in 28 games played for the Hitmen. Moreover, Zamula registered two goals, and three assists in seven games played at the WJC.

Whatever the case may be for Zamula, we offer prayers of good health. Hopefully, he recovers swiftly, and is ready to go for Flyers developmental camp in June.

  1. Sad! But strongly think we as Flyers should target in next summers draft a player named Simon Kubicek, who played really well for Czechs in world juniors! Kubicek is right shooting defense-man, who played a big minutes, and also produced little points in the tournament! Kubicek has really good size, and should be a steal of the draft, because he is now ranked 106 in scouting sites! He plays his hockey at Seattle, so we should start scouting him, if we already don”t!
