Briere is certainly very knowledgeable about the game of hockey and it’s many facets. It should be interesting to see how the Flyers utilize his player evaluation skills, fresh ideas and management talents going forward. It was mentioned by Elliotte Friedman on this week’s 32 Thoughts Podcast that Briere would be involved on all Flyers management decisions going forward. So this speaks to how highly the organization views his opinion and overall hockey/business prowess. It seems as though he’ll have a lot of input regarding decision making going forward while also learning the ins and outs of what it’s like to be an everyday NHL GM and Assistant GM in this current role. Thanks for reading Dominic!

When he played opponents n teammates said he was one of the smartest players on the ice. This is a great move by the FLYERS. I’m very excited for the future of this franchise.
