First off, thank you for the read and support. The Flyers really don't have to buy anyone out. Trades will occur, and they are allowed to go 10% over the cap. They will put either Johansen or Ellis on ltir, it's going to occur. They will finagle the roster in some way to start the season

Both Atkinson and Petersen are in the last year of their deals. Let them ride it out, and have no dead cap for the next few seasons.

This is in response to you stating the flyers don't need to buy anyone out anymore with the cap increase. You're wrong. We need more than the 800,000 in space to resign Brink and Zamula as well as callups due to injuries through the season. The team does not want to put anyone on LTIR which allows us to build up capspace for the trade deadline. Also a deal may come along which helps the team to get better but may take a little capspace on our part. Also, in this article, you mentioned this players height as 6'3". Every site has him at 6'4" except one, so I can see which site you visited. He is 6'4". Just thought I'd mention that. Also, I don't understand why some people don't want us to buy players out. We save 33% off the contract, and the remaining cap hit is spread out over two years, it's good business. Nobody is taking on Atkinson or Pederson's contracts and it clears up two roster spots that can be filled by young players. If we take anyone to arbitration and resolve the issue, we get a second buyout window. This is what I expect the team to do.
