CG did not want to sign with the flyers because of Torts. Being a high draft pick, he had the power to do that. He did not want to have to deal with Torts’ “in your face” personality daily!

Few players now are willing to take the intense mental abuse under Torts.
So players with a limited no trade clause, pending UFA’s, entry-level high drafts… They’re not coming or staying with the Flyers!
