Yes we are loaded with defensive prospects, but only on the left side, so instead we lack defensive depth in right shot defenders like St Ivany! I have or have to have optimism behind our two overage drafted RHD”s in St Ivany and Ronnie Attard, who has been late blooming prospects, because they are both pretty big sized defensemen with potential! So i hope they become good enough players, who can cover right side in our defense with physicality and thus balance our future defense, while we have more skilled and attacking defense prospects coming in York, Zamula and Andrae, who lack size and physicality! Like Tampa had in last season and won! So i hope our balancing act goes well in future, but i must say that it would easier to cope, if we traded for some top young RHD in near future, from teams who have depth in their pools, and thus can afford to trade, looking at Rangers and Colorado especially! If example Colorado”s Justin Barron start to torch his league in draft+1 season, we should try real hard to trade for him, and give for example Scott Laughton in return for Colorado”s cup run! Who knows we can win that trade even by a large margin, just like Yzerman did in case of Sergatchev vs Druin trade! Laughton”s contract is up after this season, and if traded will not have to be protected from Seattle, and maybe we can sign him again after expansion draft! I am just saying it would be wise Chuck!
